JOB SUMMARY:

The Software Engineer III primarily works with project teams on developing new software to support strategic initiatives in alignment with business and / or enterprise strategies. We are moving from an on-premise C#/ASP.NET/SQL solution to a modern cloud-based solution, focusing on both Azure and Salesforce applications. This position is for working on developing and supporting our suite of Angular based custom products.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Work with architects and other developers to implement software for strategic projectsProvide accurate level of effort estimates based on business requirementsDocument development work with appropriate collateral as neededParticipate in technical design and code reviews to ensure quality and best practices are maintainedPerform as technical lead on smaller projects, and be a collaborative member on larger projectsUse the development technology appropriate for the project at handDevelop software in a mixed Windows and PaaS type environmentWork effectively in cross-functional/cross departmental teamsADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

Coach and mentor junior developersCommunicate effectively with stakeholders regarding project status and delivery timeframesFosters innovative team culture and process improvement during development phaseWorking off-hours nights and weekends may be required on occasion for mission-critical needsOTHER DUTIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in designing, modifying, writing, and implementing software programming applications; financial service industry experience helpful.Experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologiesREST/SOAP web services, C#/C++, .NETExcellent communication/collaboration skillsSQL query optimization skillsJavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3Angular experience requiredSalesforce knowledge preferredExperience with Unit Testing or Testing Standards (preferred).Familiar with software development best practicesWORK ENVIRONMENT:

Typical noise levels for an open, cubicle-styled environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position requires periods of standing, walking, and the use of computer equipment. Additional physical demands include, but may not be limited to, talking or hearing, push/pull, stooping, kneeling, reaching w/hands and arms, and lifting at least 10 pounds.
