STAFF SERVICES MANAGER III

Under the general direction of the Assistant Deputy Director for Disaster Recovery in the Division of Federal Financial Assistance (DFFA), the incumbent oversees and directs supervisory and non-supervisory technical expert staff who are responsible for (1) outreach, policy, research, planning and development of disaster recovery program and (2) administrative operations, financial management and compliance monitoring for federal disaster recovery grants. The Disaster Response and Recovery Unit (DRRU) is the frontline partner at the state for housing response and recovery in disasters. The DRRU works directly with CaIOES, FEMA, SBA, and impacted jurisdictions to respond and recover housing and infrastructure following a disaster and incumbent will represent the Department in interactions with local, state, and federal partners and other stakeholders.

Under California Government Code Section 14200, this position is eligible for hybrid telework and may be eligible for full-time remote work in some circumstances and/or time-periods, at the sole discretion of the Department. Telework-eligible applicants must reside in California. Headquarter location will be designated on the selected candidate's primary residence location. This is subject to change if HCD's criteria is met.
