Telework options are subject to change at the discretion of management.The NC Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services is seeking a dedicated Administrative Specialist to join our Compliance Monitoring and Field Operations Unit within the Pesticides Section. This role also provides crucial support to the Structural Pest Control Section, ensuring seamless operations and compliance across various programs.Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support:

Assist the Deputy Directors of Pesticide Programs and Structural Pest Control Section, along with their field staff and the Structural Pest Control Committee.Data Management:

Oversee and review field inspection data using MiApps/Ideagen and Access databases to ensure consistent submissions and generate queries for State and federal reports.Logistics and Procurement:

Maintain mileage logs, safety equipment, inventory, office machinery, and fixed assets. Procure supplies and equipment for field staff and process expense reimbursements.Compliance and Safety:

Ensure field staff compliance with OSHA and NIOSH requirements for annual fit testing and pulmonary fitness exams.Special Projects:

Develop training materials, format presentations, prepare newsletters, and assist with outreach publications.Support Services:

Serve as backup to the Division's Receptionist on a rotating schedule, and assist with Structural Pest fumigation notifications and related logistics.Financial Management:

Process and reconcile invoice payments, transmittals, re-inspection fees, and settlement monies. Manage electronic copies of inspection reports and maintain records of settlement agreements and penalty assessments.Committee Support:

Coordinate Structural Pest Control Committee meetings, record minutes, and support Committee members.Correspondence Management:

Facilitate mailing of caution letters, notice of warnings, and cease & desist letters to licensees and other parties.Why Join Us?

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

You may qualify by an equivalent combination of education and experience, either through years of education or years of directly related experience, or a combination of both.

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Supplemental and Contact Information
