Job Title: Human Resources Generalist

Compensation: $28 - $30/hour, DOE

Location: Fresno, CA (1 day telecommute after 6 months)

Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic HR Generalist to provide dedicated HR support within our organization. In this role, you’ll drive HR initiatives that enhance compliance, employee development, and recruitment efforts. You will be the go-to person for HR-related matters, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with employees and managers through proactive communication and support.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws by reviewing and updating HR policies.
  • Manage employee grievances, conduct investigations, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Oversee workers’ compensation claims and support the leave of absence process.
  • Guide managers in performance evaluations, employee discipline, and development opportunities.
  • Lead the recruitment process, including job posting, resume screening, and interviewing.
  • Conduct HR training for new hires and provide continuous onboarding support.
  • Run HR analytics and support special projects to improve HR processes.

Qualifications:

  • 4-5 years of HR experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of HR experience.
  • Knowledge of California labor laws.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide effective coaching.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Valid CA driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and insurance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ADP HRIS.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
  • Experience in conducting workplace investigations and managing special projects.
