Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager will oversee the accounting department and ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. This role will involve managing daily accounting operations, preparing financial statements, and collaborating with other departments to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts; analyze variances and provide insights for strategic decision-making.

Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative environment and supporting professional development.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements; manage audits and liaise with external auditors.

Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate billing and collections.

Cost Accounting: Monitor and analyze production costs; collaborate with the operations team to improve cost efficiency.

Financial Systems Management: Implement and maintain accounting software systems to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities.

Internal Controls: Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.

Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including sales, operations, and supply chain, to provide financial insights and support.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.

5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

Experience in the food industry or manufacturing environment is a plus.

Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
