Job Details

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and maintain budgets aligned with financial goals, ensuring strategies support growth plans and providing financial oversight and controls for operating and station development budgets.

Develop and manage short-term and long-term financial strategies, streamlining financial processes and controls for improved efficiency.

Track and evaluate the performance of annual budgets, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet financial goals.

Approve payments up to defined limits, overseeing financial transactions to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Manage cash projections and forecasting future working capital needs to maintain liquidity.

Develop and maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implement a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk in areas such as:

Accounts Receivable

Credit and Collections

Accounts Payable

Cash Disbursements

Fixed Asset Accounting

Collaborate initially with a third-party accounting team, gradually transitioning to build and lead an internal accounting team.

Assist with financial audits and tax-related activities, working closely with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Prepare comprehensive financial statements and reports for stakeholders, offering insights into the company’s financial health and performance.

Provide financial guidance to company leadership, evolving the collaboration as the company matures.

Oversee and review the effectiveness of the company’s accounting system.

Oversee Billing, A/P, A/R, budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and cash and checking reconciliations.

Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Inspire trust and confidence in the ability to deliver through clear and proactive communication, customer empathy, and reliable execution.

Contribute to the organization’s shared understanding of quality across multiple dimensions.
