In this key leadership role, you'll spearhead all things security—building and guiding a talented team, shaping cutting-edge policies, and collaborating closely with our Chief Risk Officer to create a robust information security program. From hiring and training to incident response and risk mitigation, you'll be at the forefront of keeping SDFCU's data safe. Bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, or a related field or equivalent experience.Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.Strong knowledge of information security frameworks, standards, and best practices.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Preferred Skills:
Experience in the financial services industry, particularly within credit unions.Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GLBA, PCI-DSS, and NCUA guidelines.Proven track record of successfully managing security incidents and implementing security improvements.
