About the Director of Human Resources Role: The Director of Human Resources supports the key functions of human resources on the Talent Team. This role is critical to the overall defining and implementation of a human resources service model. This role is critical to leading the organization in compliance and providing top tier customer service to our staff. The Director of HR will support the HR team in key outcomes including but not limited to successful completion of necessary annual activities and any other org initiatives. Furthermore, this role will lead all staff data reporting and tracking for staff, compliance, engagement and demographic data. This includes but is not limited to data sharing across regional leadership teams and tracking the team data with fidelity to share out more holistically at the end of the year. The Director of Human Resources will co-create and implement Talent and HR strategies, alongside the Senior Director of HR and the CPO, that will support KIPP Colorado in becoming a Talent leader in the nonprofit space. This full-time position is a part of our Home Office Team. There are 255 college-preparatory KIPP schools in 20 states and the District of Columbia, serving more than 100,000 students.Role Responsibilities:Believe deeply in the mission, values, and Race, Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (RIDE) commitments of KIPP Colorado Schools.Assume personal responsibility for student achievement.Read, internalize, and adhere to the KIPP Colorado Policies and Procedures manual and guidelines.Provide an active presence, strategic supervision, and intentional monitoring to ensure student safety and engagement in rigorous learning.Take ownership for the development of your craft (meet 1x/1-2 weeks with a manager, implement feedback, engage in active practice, etc.).Meet professional obligations including and not limited to meeting deadlines and honoring schedules.Collaborate with colleagues and seek feedback in the spirit of continuous improvement.Assist with both student and staff recruitment and engagement.Lead on the KIPP Colorado background check and screening process.Other duties as assigned.Compliance:Ensure organization, leaders, and staff are operating in compliance with ethical, legal, and policy guidelines.Lead on licensure and ESSA compliance requirements in collaboration with Senior Director of HR and school leadership.Support the human resources manager to ensure compliance with all employment requirements.About a Successful Candidate:Bachelor's degree (required).At least 5-7 years of relevant experience in school or non-profit based human resources (required).Outstanding organizational skills and high attention to detail.Strong communication, feedback and facilitation skills.Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.Compensation and Benefits:Competitive Market Salary: Starting salary for this role begins at $91,800 and is commensurate with experience.
