We are looking for an experienced
Director of Payroll
to lead and manage the payroll and compensation functions for our growing restaurant group. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in the restaurant industry, preferably within QSR or fast-casual concepts, though experience with full-service chains is also acceptable.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage payroll processing for multiple restaurant locations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Develop and implement compensation strategies that align with the company’s business goals and industry benchmarks.
Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure effective coordination between payroll, benefits, and compensation programs.
Lead the administration of incentive programs, bonuses, and employee benefits, ensuring consistency across all locations.
Ensure compliance with all payroll-related legal requirements, including wage and hour laws, tax filings, and reporting.
Regularly analyze compensation data, market trends, and internal salary structures to recommend and implement improvements.
Provide leadership and training to payroll staff, fostering a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism.
Develop and maintain payroll systems and processes, identifying areas for optimization and automation.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in payroll and compensation management, preferably within the restaurant industry (QSR or fast-casual preferred, but full-service is acceptable).
Proven leadership experience, managing payroll operations for a multi-location organization.
Strong knowledge of payroll software and systems, with the ability to analyze data and develop reports.
Familiarity with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws.
Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, or a related field preferred.
