Our client, a global manufacturer of consumer goods, is seeking an experienced
Applications Support Engineer
to join their winning team in Milpitas. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for first line support of the following application systems in North/South America and EU to solve issues and problems and specification of system change/development: SAP ERP Module: SD EDIs with customers and logistics service providers. Responsible for escalation to Corp IT if application system issues cannot be resolved locally; collaborate and interact with Corp IT and stakeholders on business requirements to ensure Corp IT can develop solutions effectively. Responsible for system requirements in North/South America region; build strong relationships with users to understand their business processes, lead workshops to demonstrate SAP best practices, and identify business requirements, improvements, and optimization. Work with Corp IT to perform IT system implementation, gather business requirements, provide conceptual and detailed designs to meet business needs, perform necessary SAP configurations, write detailed specifications for the development of custom programs, testing, coordination of transports to production, and post-go-live support. IT project management role for projects initiated by North/South America region; prepare and review project deliverable documents including business process and functional design documents, business process procedures, system configuration (IMG) specifications, process maps, control matrices, testing scenarios, lead user acceptance tests, data conversion, and cutover to ensure project objectives are met. Support the successful delivery of an EDI implementation project; responsible for gathering and documenting requirements for EDI integration between 3rd party systems and SAP, conducting in-depth analysis, modeling processes, mapping data, assessing impacts, prioritizing requests, and collaborating with project teams to ensure seamless project execution. Coordinate with external consultants, business, and Corp IT during project implementation; play a role as project manager. KEY REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology administration. More than 7 years of in-depth experience in SAP SD, EDI format: X12, Idoc, Webmethods/Rfc. Excellent system analytical skills. Experience working with outsourcing consulting. Experience in agile methodologies. Good at elaboration of functional and technical specifications. Able to work as a team with stakeholder partners. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to analyze issues, identify sources, and provide solutions. Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (preferred). Knowledge of IT professional skills, such as XML, SQL, HTTP, HTTPS, etc. Experience in IT technical definition with architecture (systems and infrastructure) and development teams.
