Seeking motivated individual wishing to work part-time teaching Introductory Computer Science course recitations. The usual course load is two recitations per term. The duties include counseling students in practical hands-on computer sessions, teaching remotely and/or face-to-face, correcting assignments, consulting on programming problems, and grading examination papers. Additionally, the position requires scheduling two lab support hours and one office hour per week during the term.Position Information

Minimum Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, although candidates with a strong computer science background and teaching experience will be considered.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:• Familiarity with Windows / MAC OS X operating systems• Basic computer knowledge• Basic knowledge of programming in some language• Basic MS Excel knowledge• Good people skills• Proficiency with presentation softwareTeaching or tutoring experience is preferred.Special Instructions to Applicants
