Summary
The Senior Analyst - Business Development position will provide valuable financial and data analytics support for Glovis to respond to new Customer RFPs and RFQs, evaluating potential new business opportunities, and responding to requests for new services from existing customers. This position will provide significant support in analyzing business performance and help senior management make strategic decisions by providing accurate and timely financial analysis to help determine GUS costs and project profitability, along with regularly scheduled reports.
ResponsibilitiesPrimary
Use available platforms to source pricing for various services for potential and existing customers, to determine Glovis profitability prior to responding to RFPs/RFQsReview data, assumptions and price quotes prepared by other teams, to ensure accuracy and provide recommendationsProvide comprehensive follow-up and prepare variance analysis studies to assess the outcome of the planned versus actualWork with team to create, review, and question cost and pricing models for new and current businessAnalyst will also be asked to maintain and improve tools used for team projectsCollaborate with and provide support to Operations and Finance departments on day-to-day tasks as well as special projectsCollaborate with all pertinent departments to support the development and execution of new business processes with new and existing CustomersSupport the development of PowerPoint presentations for Manager/Head Of the Department (HOD)Preparation of internal approval documents and supporting analysisSupport team and Operation departments for special projects

Data Retrieval, Manipulation, and AnalysisGenerate regular team reports, including financial analysis and forecastingCreate customer financial analysis for management to conduct quarterly business profitability reviewsObtain pertinent data from company systems, including SAP, iTMS and Sales Force, to aid in regular reporting as well as ad hoc related projectsOrganize large amounts of data, analyze, and make the data presentable for executive and team reviewMaintain and track rate and tariff schedules, Customer approvals and backup supporting dataDecision-making; Meeting RFP proposal deadlines; Establishing RFP priorities and target dates while gathering information and collaborating with the BD team and project managersUtilizing strong financial analyst skills to successfully work as an individual contributor as well as in lock-step with the TeamCreate a document that is impeccably crafted, convincing, and thorough in its coverage of important concepts and terms

Compensation
$27 - $30 per hour (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)
