Summary You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the CORPORATE BUSINESS & ANALYSIS GROUP, SECURITY DEPT, SECURITY SUPPORT DIV of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE. Responsibilities You will provide daily security support in a wide range of security functional areas that include information security, physical security, personnel security, and general security administration. You will ensure compliance with established security policies and procedures and coordinate command security requirements. You will assist in analyzing and researching security issues, identify solutions, and effectively communicate those solutions. You will assist with command supported security exercises and activities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications DA-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DA-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Applying knowledge of security policies and procedures for the proper protection, handling and marking of controlled unclassified information (CUI) and classified information; 2) interpreting and applying security concepts, principles and practices to review, analyze and resolve difficult and complex security problems; 3) Leading Information Security programs using appropriate component policy and guidance; 4) Creating and administering a security education program to mentor and develop team members into proficient security specialists; 5) Briefing high-level leadership on areas of concern and providing viable solutions to problems. DA-03: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DA-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Applying knowledge of security policies and procedures for the proper protection, handling and marking of controlled unclassified information (CUI) and classified information; 2) Providing security related training and support to the workforce under area of cognizance; 3) Communicating effectively with leadership, team members, and responding to security incidents. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: DA-04: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related DA-03: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
