Compensation: To $185K.Job Overview – Technical Accounting Controller – 33145The Technical Accounting Controller is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of Divisions financial accounting in alignment with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP). Reporting directly to the Director of Technical Accounting, this role provides strategic leadership to the technical accounting team and serves as the Divisions subject matter expert on technical accounting matters to include transactions, deals and any other matters. The Controller will collaborate closely with business accounting teams, as well as with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and other key functions, to provide guidance on technical accounting, ensuring accurate reporting in the Company’s consolidated financial statements. Additionally, the role partners with the SEC Reporting team to prepare and review Hedging/M&A footnotes for consolidated financial statements.Key Responsibilities:Provide oversight of technical accounting policies and proactively assess the impact of new U.S. GAAP accounting standards.Lead and mentor a technical accounting team, supporting businesses on a variety of accounting matters to drive informed business decisions and ensure proper application of accounting and disclosure standards.Analyze complex accounting issues and communicate findings in a clear and concise manner to non-accountants.Leader and member of technical accounting team is a key business partner and trusted resource, offering guidance to businesses..Lead cross-functional and cross-regional finance accounting initiatives, ensuring successful implementation and alignment with strategic objectives.Influence decision-making within a matrix management structure to positively impact strategic business goals.Provide technical accounting guidance on all technical matters, transactions, deals, and any other matters for example Business Combination accounting, revenue recognition and lease accounting.RequirementsMaster’s Degree in Accounting.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with Big 4 public accounting and audit experience.8 to 12 years of experience in auditing, accounting, and reporting.Strong knowledge of US GAAP, with strong technical writing skills and a proven ability to research, articulate, and document complex technical accounting issues.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Great interpersonal skills with a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders at all levels.Additional Job DetailsWorkplace Policy: #li-Hybrid Seniority Level: Mid-Senior Level Linked In Poster: #LI-TC1About our ProcessWe will notify you if you are selected as a candidate for this role.
