Travel RRT - $1,949 per week in San Diego, CA

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Job Specialty: RRT Pediatrics Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) Guaranteed Hours: Hours are guaranteed after the call-off policy has been met Experience: Minimum of 1 year at a dedicated children's facility for strong RRTs with NICU/PICU experience elsewhere. Otherwise, 1.5 years at a dedicated children's hospital is preferred. License: California RCP License required Certifications: BLS, PALS, NRP (AHA) - Must be Advanced Must-Have: Advanced certification in BLS, PALS, and NRP from the American Heart Association Job Description: - Must have at least 1 year of experience from a dedicated children’s facility if a strong RRT with NICU/PICU experience elsewhere. Otherwise, 1.5 years at a dedicated children’s hospital is preferred. - Seeking strong pediatric ICU skill set; therapists who can work across at least two of the three ICUs including a Level IV NICU, Level I PICU, and/or the Cardiothoracic ICU. - Weekend shifts are required; 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period. The aim is to schedule staff and travelers every other weekend off, if possible, but it is not guaranteed. - Clinicians may float within their scope to meet facility needs. - Experience with tracheostomy, ventilators, suctioning, and oxygen is essential. Trauma Level 1 and NICU level 4 experience is necessary. - The patient population includes pediatric care for acute and pulmonary conditions as well as trauma and medical conditions requiring PICU and NICU involvement. - High acuity patients on floors, including treatments with specialty gases like heliox and iNO. - Modules need completion before the start and are non-billable, and not counted as orientation hours.
