Criminal Defense Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Criminal Defense Associate Attorney to join their team in Reno, NV. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 2 years of criminal defense or prosecution experience, including both misdemeanors and felonies in Nevada. Jury trial experience is essential, and the candidate should have strong community ties to the Reno/Sparks area, actively engaging in the Northern Nevada community.Duties:Represent clients in criminal defense matters, including court appearances, hearings, and trials.Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.Collaborate with clients to build a strong defense strategy and provide legal advice.Negotiate plea deals and settlements on behalf of clients when applicable.Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations related to criminal defense.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active membership in the Nevada State Bar.Minimum of 2 years of criminal defense or prosecution experience in Nevada.Demonstrated experience in jury trials.Skills:Strong litigation and courtroom skills.Excellent research and legal writing abilities.Effective communication and negotiation skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Familiarity with criminal law procedures and regulations in Nevada.Benefits:
