CPMG offers flexible, integrative solutions for Department of Defense (DoD) contractors, among others, and specializes in cybersecurity, information and operational technology, electronic security surveillance, and support services.Summary:The Surface Transportation Board (STB) is seeking an experienced Data Architect to support the Uniform Railroad Costing System (URCS). The URCS is a vital system used by the STB to estimate the variable costs associated with railroad movements. The Data Architect will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data architecture solutions that ensure the efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of the URCS. This role requires a deep understanding of data management, data modeling, and the transportation industry, particularly within the railroad sector.
Essential Job Functions:Design and implement scalable and robust data architecture solutions to support the URCS.Develop data models and database schemas that effectively capture the complexity of railroad cost estimation.Ensure data integrity, quality, and security across all data architecture components.Integrate various data sources, including legacy systems, to enhance the functionality of the URCS.Optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing to improve system performance and reduce operational costs.Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment with overall IT infrastructure.Perform other duties as needed.
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).Must have problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, organization skills, and initiative.Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools.Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms.Minimum Qualifications:Proven experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, or similar role, preferably within the transportation or railroad industry.Strong background in data modeling, database design, and data management.Pass a background investigation.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.The salary range for this position is $158,000 to $229,000 per year.Pay and Benefits:At Goldbelt, we value and reward our team's dedication and hard work.
