Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMAbout the Position:The academic Department of Marketing within the College of Business and Economics is committed to leading business education through the guiding principles of program quality, balancing theory and practice, and expanding our outreach and visibility. We seek an exceptional individual to join our team as the Marketing Department Coordinator.The Marketing Department Coordinator provides support to the Chair, Personnel Committee, Curriculum Committee, Recruitment Committee, Scholarship Committee, and Center Directors. Responsibilities include:Providing administrative support to the department and centers as needed.Ensuring the operations of the department office run smoothly.Assisting the department chair with oversight of administrative support staff.Monitoring department and center budgets and preparing reports as required.Coordinating faculty searches and hiring processes for new part-time lecturers and student workers.Maintaining faculty assigned time and processing appointments of student workers.Coordinating the purchase of office equipment and supplies.Other duties as assigned.Essential Qualifications:High School diploma or the equivalent and five years of progressively responsible experience in general office, clerical or secretarial work or the equivalent. Comprehensive knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures. Mastery of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Expertise in using office software packages, technology, and systems. Ability to independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects, interpret policies, troubleshoot office administration problems, analyze operational issues, and effectively communicate at all levels.A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment.
