About the Opportunity:
One of our growing biotech clients, an industry pioneer, is seeking a
Staff Accountant
who will be responsible for full cycle accounting over day to day operations, monthly and quarterly close, and the required financial reporting. This is a fantastic opportunity to work under great leadership for a stable company that is always looking to promote internally.
Compensation:
$75,000 - $85,000 plus bonus

Responsibilities:
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and assist with the monthly close process and financial reporting.Perform GL variance analysis, month-end close, accruals, and adjusting entries.Take ownership of cash, inventory, leases, and fixed assets.Process accounts receivable and inter-company billings. Assist with accounts payable when needed.Ensure tax compliance and prepare required reports for federal and state taxing agencies, including federal and state tax filings and 1099 filings.Assist various departments with outstanding issues. Run revenue and sales reports for the Sales and Marketing teams. Prepare commission schedules.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field of study and 3+ years relevant experience or equivalent combination.Experience working with complex ERP systems. Advanced Excel Skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).Strong accounts receivable and/or accounts payable experience.Previous biotech or pharmaceutical billing experience preferred.
