The Consumer/Retail has long been an area of focus for the firm (investment banking, equity research, sales and trading). The Consumer/Retail Investment Banking group at Wedbush is seeking an experienced Managing Director to take on a key leadership role in transaction origination. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and a track record of revenue generation.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Initiate new client relationships and expand the Wedbush franchise within the consumer, retail and/or eCommerce sectorsEngage in marketing activities with existing and new potential clients and manage deal pipelineOversee all aspects of transaction life cycle: client sourcing, marketing, due diligence, negotiation, documentation and closingDevelop strong internal relations with various departments to maximize firm-wide success and profitabilityMaintain professional image of the companyMentor, lead, and develop team membersPerform other tasks and duties as required and assignedExperience and Skills

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university; MBA, CFA, CPA or other advanced degrees/credentials desirable10+ years of experience within the consumer/retail sector at a nationally recognized investment banking firm (including significant origination and execution experience with both M&A and public financing transactions)FINRA Series 79 required; Series 24 preferredProven track record with increasing responsibilities of lead generationExceptional interpersonal communication skills with an ability to bring in new clientsSelf-driven with ability to work independentlyJob BenefitsWhat Wedbush Offers You

Decisions regarding compensation are determined on a case-by-case basis and are dependent on a variety of factors including but not limited to location; skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current hiring range is $250,000.
