The Technology sector has long been an area of focus for the firm (investment banking, equity research, sales and trading). The Technology Investment Banking group at Wedbush is seeking an experienced Managing Director to take on a key leadership role in transaction origination. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and a track record of revenue generation. The position is responsible for originating and executing M&A mandates throughout the Technology sector.

This opportunity will be in office based in our San Francisco office.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Initiate new client relationships with technology companiesEngage in marketing activities with existing and new potential clients and manage deal pipelineLead all aspects of transaction life cycle: client sourcing, marketing, due diligence, negotiation, documentation, and closingDevelop and communicate strategic direction for the investment banking team under supervisionSearch for new advisory opportunitiesAdvise client management teams and Board of Directors on complex corporate finance and strategic issuesEvaluate financial statements & results, budgets, and forecasts in order to recommend appropriate strategic and other financing solutions to clientsDevelop strong internal relations with various departments to maximize cross-selling strategiesMentor, lead, and develop team membersPerform other duties as required and assignedExperience and Skills

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university; MBA, CFA, CPA or other advanced degrees/credentials desirable10+ years of experience within the Technology sector at a nationally recognized investment banking firmFINRA Series 79 requiredExcellent sales, lead generation, and negotiation skillsHigh proficient in corporate finance concepts and trends, particularly relating to financial institutionsExcellent quantitative and analytical skills, ideally with understanding of valuation techniques; Must be highly proficient in financial statement analysis and financial modelingHighly proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skillsHighly organized and able to multi-task and manage multiple projects and competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy or efficiencyStrong leadership and management skillsJob BenefitsWhat Wedbush Offers You

Decisions regarding compensation are determined on a case-by-case basis and are dependent on a variety of factors including but not limited to location; skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current hiring range is $250,000.
